Special Announcement: Client Generator Teleclass & FAQs...

Client Generator Teleclass
To sign up for a complimentary teleclass that will give you an inside look into the Client Generator service go to:

http://www.heretohelpyou.com/teleclass.php
The class will be held August 25th at 7PM EST (New York time). If you can't attend, sign up anyway and we'll send you class notes and a recording of the class afterwards. In addition, we are going to announce a very special gift to Client Generator subscribers on that call, so don't miss it.
Wow! What a response to the Client Generator release on Wednesday.
I wasn't sure that anyone would really be interested in it, but I was busy doing literally nothing but answering calls and emails from the time I sat down at my desk at 9AM to about 11PM when I decided to call it a night. And Paul, my Client Generator partner and BodyworkBiz.com Webmaster was doing exactly the same.
I never want to pressure anyone, but I encouraged people to take action right away if they were interested. There is only one Client Generator being produced per city and I knew that people who sat on the fence too long would end up being disappointed. I had no idea, however, that we would be turning people away by the afternoon because their city had already been taken.
If you missed the announcement, you'll find it here:

http://www.bodyworkbiz.com/ezine/47a.html
If you want to go directly to the Here To Help You website to find out more about the Client Generator or to see if your city is already taken, go here:

http://www.heretohelpyou.com/
And if you want some more information that's not covered in either of those places read on...
I thought I'd take the time to write answers to some of the questions that we frequently got asked and to send it to all the Marketing Tips subscribers. I'm hoping this might prevent me from getting carpal tunnel syndrome. However, if you have any other questions after looking through this, feel free to drop a note. I don't mind getting back on the keyboard just for you even though my wrists are on fire. ;o)
Client Generator FAQs
The client generator is not just a website

I think one of the reasons we got so many questions was simply confusion about what the Client Generator is. When we think of the Internet, we automatically think "Websites". But what is important to understand is that the Client Generator is not just a website, although it may look that way at first glance.
The Client Generator is a highly integrated marketing system designed to get qualified and prospective massage clients to find you, trust you and buy from you. This integrated marketing system simply uses the Internet as a tool for doing that.
But some readers couldn't get past the idea of websites, so the most frequently asked question we got was around their existing websites. Questions like this:

|
|
Regarding your service, what if a clinic already has a website and domain name? Can they still use your service if there is availability in their area? |
|
|
I'm based in London, England and I already have a website. Could you help me to get more clients booking through my existing site? |
|
|
I'm very interested in your new service, but I'm not sure if it's right for me. I already have a website. Although it's not perfect, I like the way it represents my practice. How would you your service represent me? |
|
|
Can I use this as my website? |
|
A website is part of the Client Generator and if you don't currently have a website, you'll likely find that this is all you need.
However, the Client Generator has one purpose only: To get more loyal clients into your practice. Anything that distracts from that goal will not be present on the Client Generator pages. So the design is very clean and simple to keep the reader focused on the message. There is no "Links" page that causes people to click out of the site. You won't be able to do "fun things" like have pictures of yourself belly dancing, your pets or a virtual tour of your office.
The site is utilitarian. It's designed to do a job. To make sure it does that, we need to limit choices so we can stay focused on that goal.
So if you have an existing website that expresses your personality and contains the kind of information you would like to communicate to current clients, then keep it. It will supplement the work of the Client Generator. You'll be able to put a link from the Client Generator to your existing website and vice versa. This will help customers to get a better sense for who you are and will improve your website ranking in the search engines.
Can I use my existing domain name?

Here's another question...

|
|
I have already registered a domain name that is printed on my cards, leaflets, etc. Will I be able to use this? |
|
You may find yourself in one of these situations: 1) You have a domain name registered, but no website or 2) you want to get rid of your existing website (and use only the Client Generator), but you want to use your existing domain name because it's printed on everything already.
As part of the Client Generator service we provide you with a domain name that is "optimized" for search engines. So we can't use your existing domain. It's counter productive.
But here's what you can do: Keep your existing domain name. Go to the website where you registered that domain and simply "point" or forward that domain name to your Client Generator. Your registrar can help you do that. It's easy to do. Now when someone types in your domain name, for example, kneadedtouch.com, they are automatically sent to your Client Generator site. It's like having the post office forward your mail to a new address when you move to a new home.
The benefit of doing this is that you can have a domain name, like ericbrown.com, that is more memorable or easier to spell than the one we'll assign to your Client Generator. Your website name will be easier to communicate to your clients and you won't have to redo all your stationery.
The Client Generator is a monthly subscription service. In a sense we are loaning you a domain name and website for your city. So another benefit of registering and forwarding a domain name of your own is that you can take it with you. If you decide the Client Generator is not working for you (God forbid), you can cancel the service and set up your own site without having to establish a new domain name. Simply forward the name to your new site.
Is there a guarantee?

Some of you were wondering where the guarantee is. This time in place of a guarantee we've waived the $500 set up fee so that there is no upfront risk.
There is great amount of time involved in setting up a customized site like this - the writing of the sales copy, the hand coding of the pages, the submission to search engines and PPCs - and we feel that $59 per month for a six-month commitment is more than reasonable. It's a small investment and gives you enough time to evaluate the effectiveness of the Client Generator. If it doesn't perform to your expectation and you don't feel you are getting a great return on your investment, let us know and there is no further commitment beyond that six-month time frame.
That puts the pressure on us. We have a real vested interest in making the service successful for you because if it doesn't work, we don't receive any more money from you. And we need to have you as a long-term subscriber before we see any financial benefit for ourselves. All and all, it's very fair. But we still heard voices of concern, like this one...

|
|
I am unsure. I seem to have fallen for a few other great ideas with massage only to find out differently in the end. Since my practice is small, my fees low, it is hard for me to justify the expenditure, especially with no guarantee. |
|
This reminds me of a story by Earl Nightingale about a man who was sitting in front of a wood stove to get warm and said, "When you give me some heat, I'll give you some wood."
Sometimes you need to take little risk. If you don't give up a little wood, you're never going to get heat. We only ask for a six-month commitment to give it a chance to work for you.
In this therapist's case, I did a little research. The therapist works in Albany, NY. In May 2005, there were over 1,000 searches in Overture alone for "massage albany" or "massage therapy albany" and this is a search engine that represents only a tiny amount of total web searches.
If I lived in Albany, I would be all over the Client Generator. When you have thousands of people specifically looking for a massage therapist in Albany, you want your name to be front and center. This is the perfect kind of advertising. You are not just attracting the attention of passersby; you are reaching people who specifically want massage in your city. What could be better than that?
Back to the guarantee... Once we can evaluate the effectiveness of the Client Generator over time, we'll have a better idea of the level of performance we can guarantee. At that point in time, we'll start charging the $500 set up fee and will develop an official guarantee.
I'm concerned about the creeps...

Here's another concern that I had to address. I've heard this one numerous times in the past.

|
|
I'm concerned about being so visible by being on the web. I don't know what kind of creeps will see my website. I work out of my home and am concerned about my safety. |
|
Marketing via the web provides you with a great level of security. It is one of the few ways you can have an incredible reach without revealing your exact location. The city name and zip code is enough to give a general location for people and to optimize for the search engines without giving away your address.
Let's say that this client is from Houston, Texas. That city got over 6,700 searches on Overture in July of 2005 for massage. Overture is responsible for just a small percentage of total searches on the web. So there are thousands of potential clients looking for a massage therapist in Houston. How else could you reach all those people as a home-based business?
The web also gives you some powerful ways of screening potential clients. Although we don't explain this in the Client Generator material (simply because there is so much we could tell you), the "pay per click" (PPC) advertising that we include as part of the Client Generator service is extremely targeted. (By the way, the PPC is another sophisticated part of the service that will bring clients into your practice, but it's really invisible to you and doesn't cost you anything extra.)
We filter all PPC ads for your site with "negative keywords". I've done the research and have identified over 40 of these terms that we apply to your site. So for example, someone searching for the term "Toronto escort massage" or "Toronto massage parlor" will never see your ad and will never click onto your site.
As well, it will be clear from your site that your business is a legitimate massage therapy practice. We build that kind of credibility into the site. So if someone looking for other kinds of services drops onto your site, they'll quickly bail out. Of course, if you don't provide exact address details, you will need to communicate with potential clients by phone or email and will have a chance to feel them out before booking an appointment or providing location details.
No business can rely solely on client referrals. At some point in time, you need to build your client base to get those referrals. So in terms of getting new clients, the Client Generator is really is ideal for a home-based business.
What about my modality?

We've had lots of holistic practitioners contact us wondering if the service would work for their modality:

|
|
Can you do this for someone who doesn't do massage? I just do Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation and Color Therapy. |
|
|
Could a Reflexologist be included in the Client Generator service? |
|
|
I specialize in Chair Massage and have just launched my chair massage business. Where do I sign up? |
|
We appreciate the diversity in the industry and hate to exclude anyone. However, the service is really designed for Massage Therapists. Because we utilize a high level of specificity in the search engine optimization and client follow-up, the Client Generator doesn't suit holistic practitioners who don't practice massage.
If you do practice modalities in addition to massage therapy, however, we'd be happy to incorporate those into your Client Generator.
We will have a variety of web related services coming up in the next year to help holistic practitioners and alternative bodyworkers. Keep your eyes open for announcements in the Marketing Tips newsletter.
Can I see some client sites?

No. Not right now. We just launched two days ago and don't have any actual client sites available. But what we did do is put together a mock site to give you a sense of what your visitor sees. You can check it out at:

www.torontomassagetherapy.com
Again, this doesn't show you the full range of backend features that make the service work. To help you appreciate the functionality of the service and to understand how you can benefit, Paul and I have decided to do a complimentary teleclass that will be scheduled for Thursday, August 25th at 7PM EST (New York time). It will last for approximately one hour.
For details and to sign up for that call, go here:

http://www.heretohelpyou.com/teleclass.php
Even if you can't attend, sign up and we'll send you notes and a copy of the recording after the call is completed for your reference.
On that call we'll go through the functionality of the service, so you have a deeper understanding of exactly how this will work for you. You'll get a back door tour and see how the administration of the site works. You'll learn about each of the elements that make up the Client Generator and find out how each one works to get you clients. You'll discover the many ways we work to market your site for you, so that people searching for massage in your area are sure to find you. You'll also have the chance to have any questions answered.
Hope to see you there,
Eric Brown, Director
